Wendy Ghee Draper
General Information
Wendy Draper was born and raised in Calhoun County and is one of seven children of Brenda and Doug Ghee. After attending Anniston High School, Wendy earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and received a Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law. For the past 22 years, she has practiced law at Ghee, Draper & Alexander, where her focus is probate and family law, with a special passion for working with families to facilitate adoption.
Wendy’s love for her community and state has led to decades of public service. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at her children’s school, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Family Service Center. Wendy also serves as a Certified Guardian Ad Litem for the State of Alabama, advocating for children in the foster care system, and is an advocate for Save-A-Life.
She is a past member of the Alabama Foster & Adoptive Parent Association Board of Directors, Executive Committee for Calhoun-Cleburne Bar Association, Calhoun County Library Board of Directors, and Alabama Wildlife Center Board of Directors.
Wendy and her husband Jack are members of St. Michael & All Angels Church. They reside in Anniston with their three daughters, Lily Grace, Harper, and Mary Yonce.
