Jennifer Mae Holton is 47 years old and was born on Independence Day July 4, 1974. She is an Alabama native, born to Donald and Jewell Davis. Her father is a native of Chilton County, and her roots are in Autauga, Chilton and Elmore Counties. To Jennifer Holton families matter. Jennifer is the biggest cheerleader for her two daughters, Michele, age 21 and Jeweliana, age 15, and is the wife of Eclectic Municipal Court Judge Michael Guy Holton.

Jennifer graduated from Auburn University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing, from Troy University in 1999 with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, and in 2005 she graduated from Jones School of Law with a Juris Doctor of Jurisprudence. She has been a member in good standing with the Alabama State Bar since 2006.

Jennifer Holton has successfully handled thousands of cases in Alabama, including capital murder/death penalty, murder, robbery, burglary rape and sodomy, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and just about every type of case in the criminal code in Alabama. In addition to criminal cases, her compassion is only outdone by her knowledge. The Alabama Supreme Court appointed her to the committee that composes the pattern of jury instructions to be used by all judges during criminal jury trials. She served her term proudly and the pattern jury instructions are currently used by Circuit judges throughout the State of Alabama. In addition to being the death penalty qualified to sit as the first chair in capital murder cases, she is also licensed by the United States Supreme Court and has co-authored cases in that court.

To complement her extensive knowledge of criminal law, she has been under contract with the State of Alabama through the Office of Indigent Defense Services to serve the 15th Judicial Circuit by helping families and children with dependency and delinquency issues. Jennifer Holton has been able to make a change in the lives of these young people and help the families heal, whether dependency or delinquency because families matter to her. Highlighting her passion for helping those in need and ensuring that children are taken care of with the dignity and respect that they deserve, she is also a certified Guardian Ad Litem. Jennifer has put boots on the ground and has visited with these children in their homes, fought for proper living arrangements regardless of the time of day and fights to ensure their safety. She tirelessly and relentlessly fights for a safe environment for children to mature into productive adults.

She has not limited her passion and her talents to the courtroom, Jennifer has shared her love of the law with many young adults through her teaching at South University. While at South, Jennifer planned, organized and headed the continuing legal education program to offer Continuing Legal Education training to practicing attorneys. As the Legal Studies Program Director, she was successful in overseeing South obtain reaccreditation by the prestigious American Bar Association.
