JaCorey DeJuan Calloway

I was born and raised in Camp Hill, a small rural town in the State of Alabama. I graduated from Edward Bell School in 2001. After graduation, I matriculated to Auburn University Montgomery where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After completing my undergraduate studies, I attended Capella University and obtained my Master of Science degree in Counseling Studies. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Leadership of Higher Education at Capella University.

I am fortunate to have been afforded the opportunities to work in a variety of areas throughout my professional career. I have served as a Store Manager, Branch Manager, Admissions Associate, Senior Enrollment Specialist, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Recruiter, College Counselor, and an Assistant Director of Admissions. I was employed with Virginia College where I served as an Enrollment Specialist, South University as an Assistant Director of Admissions, and Trenholm State Community College as the Assistant Director for Enrollment Management, Student Development, and Counseling Services. At Trenholm State Community College, also served as the advisor to a Minority Male Mentoring Group called Trenholm 100 for first generation students, National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Government Association. I have attended and presented at many conferences and workshops on being an Effective Leader, Leadership Styles, Why Mentoring is Important, and True Colors.

I am a member of the Montgomery Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where I currently serve as Chapter Historian and as the Director of the chapter’s Guide Right Program, a mentoring program for young men in grades 4-12.

I have been a minister of the gospel for 14 years and have served as a Pastor for 9 years.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Starlet. Together we have two kids, JaDarian and Skylynn. JaDarian is in the 9th grade at Park Crossing High School and Skylynn is in Kindergarten at Wilson Elementary School.

I have dedicated my life to saving souls, helping others, and mentoring kids to steer them in the right direction on the path to success. I have a passion for bringing out the best in others and I love people.

I am currently employed at The National Society of Leadership & Success, the Nation’s Largest Leadership Honor Society as a Chapter Success Manager. I support 39 Colleges and Universities throughout the United States to train them on how to be an effective leader.
