C. Rick Blackwell
General Information
Rick Blackwell was first elected to serve as councilmember for District 4 in 2008. He was re-elected in 2012 and 2016. Rick retired from Goodrich Aerospace Inc. in 2006 after 20 years of service. He served as president of the Foley Lions Club, president of South Baldwin Dixie Youth Girls Softball League and the president of South Baldwin Dixie Youth Boys Baseball. Rick was one of the original committee members and a coach who formed the Foley Soccer League. Rick has also served as a committee member for the Ivan Jones Scholarship.
Rick has been married to his wife, Sherri, for 37 years, and they have four children and 14 grandchildren. He currently serves as president of the Monteith Oaks Homeowners Association and is a member of Foley First Baptist Church. He loves horses and is a life member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
