Bill Summary
This bill would provide for a court-appointed legal guardian or representative payee of a child with special needs or an intellectual disability to receive child support payments following the death of an individual who was the custodial parent, legal guardian, or representative payee of a child of any age with special needs or with an intellectual disability
To amend Sections 30-3-191 and 30-3-197, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to child support to provide that a court-appointed legal guardian or representative payee of a child with special needs or an intellectual disability to receive child support payments following the death of an individual who previously received child support payments as the custodial parent, legal guardian, or representative payee of a child of any age with special needs or with an intellectual disability.
