Under existing law, a vintage vehicle may be used in club activities, exhibitions, tours, and parades, but may not be used for general transportation purposes

To amend Section 40-12-290, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to vintage vehicles; to provide further for the licensing and registration of vintage vehicles; and to authorize certain vintage vehicles to be operated for general transportation purposes upon payment of regular license taxes and registration fees and proof of mandatory liability insurance.
