Bill Summary
Under existing law, county boards of registrars are required to identify on a continuous basis the names of persons who have died, moved out of the voting precinct, or are otherwise no longer qualified to vote in order to purge their names from the statewide voter registration list
This bill would prescribe the manner in which a county board of registrars investigates a report that a registered voter is deceased or becomes a nonresident of the precinct in which the person had been registered to vote
Relating to voter registration; to add Section 17-4-6.1 to the Code of Alabama 1975, by prescribing the manner in which a county board of registrars investigates a report that a registered voter is deceased or becomes a nonresident of the precinct in which the person had been registered to vote.
