Bill Summary
Under current law, the Third Party Prescription Program Act provides that no agreement between a program administrator and a pharmacy shall establish reimbursement rates or procedures that result in reimbursement rates for services rendered to persons covered by the plan which are less than the usual and customary rates paid by consumers not covered by a third party plan for the same or similar services. The act, however, does not apply to the Alabama Medicaid Program or any corporation organized under the provisions of Title 10, Chapter 4, Article 6 of the Code of Alabama 1975
This bill would provide that the act would also not apply to the Public Education Employees' Health Insurance Plan
This bill would provide that the Third Party Prescription Program Act would not apply to the Public Education Employees' Health Insurance Plan.
