SB205 Alabama 2010 Session
Bill Summary
Under existing law, retired veterans who are recipients of the Medal of Honor or their surviving spouses and retired veterans who are former prisoners of war receive one distinctive license tag at no fee or tax. Retired veterans who are Purple Heart recipients may receive the distinctive tag at no additional fee, but must pay ad valorem tax on the vehicle. Additional distinctive license plates are available to these veterans upon payment of the regular license tax and registration fees, including ad valorem taxes
